Channel 12 News journalist Amit Segal visited the US this week, including in his visit the "Ohel," the gravesite of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and his father-in-law Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Schneersohn, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Segal is currently in New York, as part of a tour to North America organized by Chabad for Israelis Abroad. The organization was founded by Center 302 and is headed by Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky; it helps Israeli emissaries abroad with events, publishing, educational frameworks, and more.

During his tour, Segal spoke at the Israeli Center in Lakewood, New Jersey, and at Chabad-Lubavitch centers for Israelis in Chicago, Houston, Toronto, San Antonio, and Orange County.

It was after his trip to Lakewood that he visited the Ohel together with Rabbi Avremi Leibowitz.

Last month, Israel's Aliyah and Integration Minister Ofir Sofer (Religious Zionism) visited New York to attend a New York City event on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day. His trip as well began with a visit to the Ohel, where he prayed for his trip to be a success.
