עו"ד נתי רום העיר לשוטרים ועוכב לחקירה

Attorney Nati Rom from the Honenu organization was detained on Thursday morning at the exit to the Temple Mount after he visited the holy site with his daughter, who is celebrating her Bat Mitzva.

"I saw a boy who seemingly made a wrong turn, and a police officer yelled at him," Rom recounted and added: "The officer threatened the kid who seemed about 14 years old, 'You want a kick in the head?', I told the officer not to threaten and not to talk to a child like that, and they detained me when I left the mount. I must point out that all the boy did was walk three meters with a group of German tourists who passed through our group."

Rom stated regarding his detention for questioning: "It's sad to see how in the state of Israel in 2023 non-Jewish tourists cut Jews in line and can walk freely, while Jews don't get the rights that other religions receive. Unfortunately, there are no equal basic human rights for Jews, it is intolerable.
