רסיסים פגעו ברכבה של השרה סטרוק

Shrapnel from a rocket fired by terrorists in the Gaza Strip struck the vehicle of National Missions Minister Orit Strock in the city of Sderot today (Thursday).

The rocket struck 50 meters (about 164 feet) from the minister's car.

"We came to strengthen the residents of Sderot and found ourselves under fire," Minister Strock said.

In Rehovot, a man was killed and five people were injured when a rocket struck a residential building. This was the first Israeli casualty during Operation Shield and Arrow.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization has fired about 600 rockets at Israel so far this week, following the assassination of three of the terror group's leaders on Monday night.

An 82-year-old woman was lightly wounded by shrapnel from a rocket which struck outside a private home in the Sdot Negev Regional Council.
