The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported this morning (Sunday) that a bullet has been found in the leg of Alessandro Parini, the tourist who was murdered in a terrorist ramming attack on the promenade in Tel Aviv on Friday night.

The bullet was found in a CT scan of Parini's body. While a full autopsy has not yet been performed, the bullet is not believed to be the cause of death. Nor is it known who fired the bullet.

The Institute of Forensic Medicine denied the report.

Seven other people, all tourists, were injured the terrorist attack, including a 74-year-old man, a 39-year-old man, and a 17-year-old girl were moderately injured, and a 54-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman were lightly injured and were taken to Ichilov Hospital to receive medical care. Three of the tourists were from Britain, and one was from Italy.

Parini, a 35-year-old resident of Rome, worked as a lawyer and was in Tel Aviv on vacation. He received his master's degree from Luiss Guido Carli University in 2011, when he graduated with honors. He received his doctorate in public law from the Tor Vergata University in Rome in 2019, and worked for the London-based Clifford Chance international law firm.
