Demonstrators against the judicial reform on Wednesday evening tried to prevent MK Yuli Edelstein from entering the ANU Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv.
MK Edelstein, whose car was blocked by the protesters, entered the building from a side entrance.
"No power in the world will prevent or stand between a Jew and the heritage and tradition of our ancestors. On the way to the museum, I encountered a violent group that tried to stop me from entering the museum," he said.
"It didn't happen, it won't happen either. I will not be driven away and I will not be threatened with violence. It didn't work for the Soviets, it won't work now either," Edelstein stressed.
Meanwhile, the protests caused Culture Minister Miki Zohar to cancel his arrival at the event, after he had already encountered anti-reform protesters who shouted slogans at him during a visit to the city of Kfar Saba.
