Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to defer the decision regarding the regulation of the Evyatar outpost in Samaria and the eviction of the illegal Arab settlement of Khan al-Ahmar east of Jerusalem until after the month of Ramadan, according to a report by Kan 11 on Saturday.
A government source responded that the regulation of Evyatar will proceed and that the deferral is also due to staff work on the issue.
The Nachala Movement and the families of Evyatar attacked the decision and said that the deferral is a capitulation to terrorism. "The government that was elected by right-wingers who were sick of Gatz and friend's leftist government has no right to continue the same policy of evicting communities and pushing off the following through of agreements to the residents of Evyatar.
Instead of strengthening the settlements and keeping the promises from the coalition agreements, Netanyahu and the right-wing government chose to surrender to terrorism and what the world tells them. The Nachala Movement declares that it will continue to work to fully populate Evyatar and to establish new communities in the region, and call on the government to be the one that leads it."
The movement announced that they would continue to plan to celebrate Passover in Evyatar, attended by many supporters, and call on the nation of Israel to come to celebrate with the families of Evyatar.
