Opposition leader Yair Lapid on Tusday took a shot at National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir after he ordered the Israel Prison Service (IPS) to limit the showering time of terrorist prisoners.
"The minister of TikTok and pitas 'wants to be on the attack and not on the defense' so he went on the attack and reduced the security prisoners' time in the shower to four minutes. What is the next step? Only shampoo without conditioner?" Lapid wondered.
Ben Gvir was quick to hit back at Lapid, who visited France several times in the past, and answered that the next step for Lapid would be "coffee without a croissant in Paris".
Former Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy came to the aid of his party's chairman, Lapid, and wrote to Ben Gvir: "Mr. Minister of TikTok, is this what is being served in the command post which runs Operation Defensive Shield 2?", a reference to Ben Gvir’s announcement last week that he ordered the police to prepare for "Operation Defensive Shield 2 in eastern Jerusalem".
