IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi is visiting Bahrain at an international security conference with the participation of senior military commanders from Arab countries, Walla reported.
The Chief of Staff's visit was conducted in secret, but he was photographed sitting in a meeting with the Crown Prince of Bahrain in the country's newspapers Thursday morning.
This is Halevi's first visit to one of the countries which signed the Abraham Accords with Israel since taking office as Chief of Staff, as well as his first meeting with Arab military leaders since taking office.
The security conference is being held under the auspices of the US Central Command. US Central Command commander General Michael E. Kurilla is the highest ranking US official at the conference.
