Hundreds of young men and women came to march, dance, and sing with Israeli flags at the sight of Saturday's shooting attack at the City of David in Jerusalem.
The march left the Dung Gate of Jerusalem's Old City, near the Western Wall, and proceeded towards the City of David.
The march organizers published a message stating: "Dear nation of Israel, we invite you to join us, the residents of the ancient City of David, for a flag march in the City of David, together we will cry 'The nation of Israel is does not fear a long road.'"
Minister of the Negev, Galilee, and National Resilience Yitzhak Wasserlauf, who took part in the march, told the marchers: "You are our national resilience. When you come here the day after the terrible terror attack, with Israeli flags and the message that you - that we are sending, is that we are not afraid and that we will go on, and that we will not only go on, we will become stronger. We will continue to live here with pride since this is our home. This is our home."
Wasserlauf continued: "For twenty years, I lived in the Old City, my parents live there, and I plan to go to them from here, and I tell you: from this place, Jerusalem, the Old City, the renewed Jewish Quarter, from the City of David. From here, we will build security, governance, and sovereignty, and when we are strong here, it will reflect on the rest of the citizens of Israel. I support you and salute you."
