Last night, IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police forces conducted counterterrorism activities in a number of locations in Judea and Samaria, including in the towns of Deir Istiya and Fahma.
Overnight, IDF and Israel Border Police operated to secure the coordinated entrance of Israeli civilians to Joseph’s Tomb in the city of Shechem (Nablus).
During the entrance into the tomb, armed terrorists endangered the soldiers’ lives. The soldiers responded with live fire. Hits were identified. The civilians and the soldiers exited the city.
According to the Palestinian Authority outlet WAFA, a terrorist, identified as 16-year-old Ahmed Shehadeh, was killed during the clashes in Shechem. Ten others were reportedly wounded.
Additionally, the forces operated in the city of Hebron and apprehended two wanted individuals suspected of terror involvement.
The forces also operated in the town of Ya’bad and apprehended an additional wanted individual.
Furthermore, during the activity in the town of Aboud, the forces apprehended an additional suspect.
No IDF injuries were reported.
The suspects were transferred to security forces for further processing.
