The main window of a Borough Park synagogue was smashed with rocks, leading the NYPD to open a hate crime investigation on Friday.
Two young boys were captured on video throwing two rocks at the Brooklyn, New York synagogue's window. The rocks left a visible hole in the glass. The two suspects threw the projectiles as they ran down the block, News12 reported.
Borough Park Shmira Public Safety officers are coordinating with the NYPD Hate Crimes Unit to identify the two boys.
Police said that they have evidence that the suspects in the video live in the neighborhood.
Shmira officers explained that the incident was not the first of its kind to occur in the area and that they have investigated other similar cases of vandalism.
