
Two more coronavirus patients died Tuesday, raising the total number of coronavirus-related fatalities in Israel to 338, according to data released by the Health Ministry Tuesday.
A total of 1,076 new cases of the virus were discovered Monday, with a further 134 confirmed cases reported Tuesday morning. On Monday, 22,432 tests were conducted, of which, 4.8% were positive, compared to 4.3% of the 3,135 tests carried out Tuesday morning.
The number of patients in serious condition stabilized Tuesday, after rising significantly from June 28th through July 5th, when the number of patients in serious condition soared from 39 to 92 in a single week, after having remained level for the preceding three weeks.
On Tuesday, 89 patients were listed in serious condition, compared to 88 on Monday.
A further 84 patients are in moderate condition.
The total number of known active cases rose to 12,799. Of these, 359 patients are hospitalized, compared to 333 hospitalized patients two days ago.
There are 35 patients on respirators, two more than there were on Monday.
