Troops from the Haruv reconnaissance unit of the Kfir Brigade this week raided the Palestinian Arab village of Halhul, north of Hevron, together with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), following the large number of terrorist attacks and rioting that recently originated in the Arab village.
The forces advanced by foot towards a number of targets in the village of Halhul, and when the signal was given, they raided the homes simultaneously and arrested four wanted men who were suspected of throwing rocks and firebombs at vehicles on Highway 60 in recent weeks.
"During the night, the forces of the Haruv reconnaissance unit operated in the area of the village of Halhul in order to arrest wanted persons involved in popular terrorist acts. Popular terror endangers life, and we, the security forces, will act with all our might and using all means to lay our hands on those who seek to harm us," said Capt. Aviv Tsabari, commander of the training unit of the unit.
In addition, the fighters raided the homes of rioters and searched the area.
The IDF said that "IDF forces will continue to act to maintain security in the area."
