Terrorists arrived this evening to Givat Sorek, adjacent to the community of Carmei Tzur, where a synagogue was set up by residents. The terrorists threw firebombs at the synagogue and it burned down completely. Miraculously there were no people present at the time of the incident.

Carmei Tzur sits north of Hevron in the Judean hills.

Carmei Tzur notes that this is not the first time the synagogue has been burned on this hill.

"We protest the intolerable ease with which terrorists can arrive very close to resident's houses and call on the army to do everything necessary to stop these terrorist acts immediately," Carmei Tzur said.

"It is important to note that for a long time we have been warning that illegal roads are being paved by Palestinians around the community, which endanger the residents of the settlement and provide easy access to anyone who wants to harm us. We again call upon the security forces to block these roads and restore security to the community and its surroundings," the community statement added.
