Jewish Home chairman and Education Minister Naftali Bennett arrived at the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem on Monday evening, where he voted in the elections for the Jewish Home Central Committee.

After he voted, Bennett told Arutz Sheva that "the Jewish Home’s goal is national leadership. We see here a dynamic and vibrant movement. Many people are coming to vote.”

Asked about running together with the National Union, as the two parties did in the last election, Bennett replied, "We are determined to run together, we will find the way. Twice already we have managed to unite, and I believe that it will happen again. Everyone will have to be flexible."

Bennett said that the speech by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence at the Knesset earlier on Monday brought significant news to Israel, and added that he was not impressed by the provocation of the members of the Joint List.

“What we saw today was a holiday for the people of Israel. There is tremendous news here and this is one of the most Zionist speeches that were delivered from the Knesset podium, certainly by a foreign leader," he said.

"He mentioned timetables for the moving of the embassy to Jerusalem, which is a huge thing. He also set a time limit for the Iranian issue, and I assume that this will motivate the European countries to correct the bad agreement with Iran," added Bennett.

The Jewish Home chairman was also asked how he believes the dialogue between the army and the religious Zionist rabbis should be conducted amid recent tensions between the sides.

"I think everyone should calm down. We are one people, the IDF belongs to all of us, and religious Zionism is deeply rooted in the best units of the IDF,” he said.

"We have no other army. I think there are things that are not perfect in the IDF and things will be fixed through dialogue. What needs to be fixed will be corrected and there is no need to bury our heads in the sand," added Bennett, who opined that the dialogue in Israel should change in general.

"On the one hand, we saw haredi MKs coming out with the supermarket speech, and on the other hand, anti-religious MKs are visiting shops on Shabbat on purpose. That's not the way, and that's not what the people need. It is okay to argue, but not in this manner,” he concluded.
