Jonathan Goldblatt, head of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) says that throughout the election season, his organization monitored a significant rise in anti-Semitic materials online, as racist and prejudiced elements exploited social media to push their hate-filled messages.

Goldblatt says that the messages can stem both from the extreme left and the extreme right as "no side has a monopoly on bigotry."

However, Goldblatt claims, the last twelve months have seen a new phenomenon driven by white supremacists targeting Jews and the State of Israel, as well as Muslims, immigrants, and homosexuals. These individuals, he said, use Twitter to attack conservative American Jews, even those who are part of the Republican party.
