Chairman of the Knesset Committee for Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs MK Dr. Avraham Neguise (Likud) toured Sunday in the Mateh Binyamin region of Samaria along with Regional Council Head Avi Roeh.

MK Neguise remarked on the region’s high absorption success rate and recommended for all new olim to settle in towns across Judea and Samaria after immigrating to Israel.

"The communities in Judea and Samaria are able to absorb and integrate new immigrants from all the corners of the world. Settling here is the fulfillment of the Zionist vision and therefore I call upon olim to establish their homes here," he said.

The MK visited the homes of immigrants from France and Belgium who settled in the town of Eli, and spoke with Ariel Limina, an officer in the Congo army who migrated from Belgium six months ago with his wife and five children.

Limina assisted in neutralizing a terrorist during one of the Binyamin region attacks, and received praises by representatives of the Eli community, as well as MK Neguise.

Neguise continued by visiting the archaeological site in the town of Shilo, and ended his tour the house of the Kfir family, which is set to be demolished at the end of the year according to a ruling by the High Court.

The MK called on state authorities to provide budgetary support for communities in Samaria, and noted that following a tour of Gush Etzion and Efrat in Judea, he plans on summoning a discussion regarding immigration in a meeting with the Knesset Committee for Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs.
