Delays and strikes occur once again as El Al pilots announced yesterday (Sunday) that they will not work due to sanctions taken by the pilots in protest of their working agreement.
El Al’s management said Monday that "despite a labor agreement signed with the employees, including the pilots, the pilots take sanctions and fail to respond to the tasks that society places them which, in contrast to standard practice”
As a result, changes were made to morning flights to Barcelona, and flights to New York and Brussels were cancelled.
El Al further stated that "the company apologizes to the travelers affected and is working to find solutions to them. The company calls for the pilots to return to their posts and prevent damage to passengers.”
The company sent passengers text messages to notify them that their flights had been canceled and asked them to call to arrange alternative flights.
