The Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched airstrikes on several targets in Gaza on Wednesday night.

According to the IDF, the airstrikes targeted a concealed rocket launcher and two terrorist centers in northern Gaza. Two terrorist centers in central Gaza were targeted as well.

Direct hits were identified, and all aircraft returned safely to their bases, said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

The statement said the airstrikes were in retaliation for an earlier rocket attack on southern Israel. Two rockets fired by Gaza terrorists on Wednesday evening exploded in the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council. One of the rockets hit a building and caused it minor damage, and the second exploded in an open area.

“The IDF will not tolerate attempts to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers, and will operate against anyone who uses terror against the State of Israel,” the statement stressed.

Wednesday evening’s rocket fire was the latest in a string of attacks from Gaza over the past week. On Monday evening, a rocket fired from Gaza exploded in an open area in the city of Ashkelon.

There were no physical injuries or damages in the attack.

On Saturday, four rockets were fired from Gaza, causing no physical injuries or damages.

After both attacks, the Israeli Air Force retaliated by striking terror-related targets in Gaza.
