The "Tuesday Night Live in Jerusalem" TV show will feature representatives of the Israeli Defense Force medics and the the ZAKA rescue team who have recently returned from Haiti. They will share first-hand experiences as part of Israel’s earthquake disaster relief effort.
Jeremy Gimpel, who hosts the show along with Ari Abramowitz, said, "With the international media so often always focusing on Israel's shortcomings, it is vital that the world sees the real heroes of Israel."
Another guest on the show will be Michael Freund, founder and director of Shavei Israel, an organization dedicated to bringing “Lost Jews” back to Israel. Freund's work includes outreach to Jewish communities in remote parts of India and grandchildren of Jews hidden from the Nazis in Poland.
The musical guest will be Holler!, a Tel Aviv-based bluegrass band which, according to its web site, seeks to "put a little South in the Middle East."
Tuesday Night Live will be taped, as usual, in front of a live studio audience, this Tuesday, February 2nd at Heichal Shlomo on King George Street in Jerusalem. Vendors will be in the lobby before and after the show selling books, artwork and more. The programs will be available on the internet several weeks after the live program.
