US President Donald Trump said in his address to Congress that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had sent him a letter saying that his country is ready to “come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer.”
Trump said he was appreciative of the letter, adding that “simultaneously, we’ve had serious discussions with Russia and have received strong signals that they are ready for peace.”
