PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas responded to the death of the head of the PA prisoners' affairs unit, Qadri Abu Bakr, saying, "Abu Bakr dedicated his life as a strong fighter in the defense of Palestine and its people. Abu Bakr was placed on the front lines and protected his land in the national sphere and international sphere."
