Arab driver arrested after hitting Jewish teen in Jerusalem

Police nab Arab driver from hit-and-run accident who left Israeli child unconscious and on life support.

A hit-and-run left a teenage boy unconscious and with serious injuries on Thursday afternoon in Jerusalem.

After less than an hour, the driver was identified. Israel Police officers in the area spotted the suspect's car parked near his home and arrested him.

The driver is a resident of the Arab town of Al Khalayleh in Samaria.

Magen David Adom paramedic Hezi Tzvi said, "When we arrived, a 13-year-old boy was lying unconscious on the road. He suffered from severe injuries to multiple organs."

"We administered first aid at the scene and stopped the bleeding. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, unconscious and breathing with assistance."

"Civilians who were at the scene said he had been hit by a passing car."
