Three IDF soldiers who heckled an Arabic station's reporter while she was speaking on camera were sentenced to 14 days without leaving their base.
The soldiers are documented on video sidling up to the reporter, then making noises and V-signs, as she attempts to speak on camera. It was widely shown on social media.
The IDF authorities saw the video and did not see any humor in the soldiers' behavior.
"In the said video, the soldiers behaved in a way that contradicts what is expected of a soldier," said the IDF Spokesman. "Following the incident, regulations for behavior vis-à-vis the media were reinforced. The IDF will continue to allow journalistic documentation in Judea and Samaria."
