Bayit Yehudi chairman, Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett, had some sharp words for Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan on Wednesday, as Erdogan continued to crow over Israel's apology regarding the Mavi Marmara confrontation.

Ever since the apology was made public, Bennett wrote on his Facebook page, "it appears that Erdogan is doing everything in order to make Israel regret it, while conducting a harsh and personal campaign at the expense of Israeli-Turkish relations."

"Just to remove any doubt – no country is doing Israel a favor by renewing relations with it," Bennett added. Erdogan needs to know, he added, that if Israel encounters terrorism again, "our response will be no less sharp" than it was on the Marmara.

"IDF combat soldiers," Bennett wrote – "We are always with you."

"Always do everything – and I mean everything – in order to safeguard the lives of the citizens of the state of Israel. That is your duty. We will handle the rest. The Nation of Israel stands behind you."
