In an interview with Galei Tzahal, Minister Hili Tropper referred to the vote expected today on the establishment of a committee of inquiry into the submarine affair.

"I Believe it will be approved by the government and that the prime minister will support the proposal. There is still a question mark regarding the procurement of the vessels and those question marks need to be removed," Trooper said.

This was after Israel purchased 3 state-of-the-art new submarines from Germany, yet bribes and corruption are suspected in the deal.

Regarding signing the submarine purchase from Germany, Tropper said: "Would we like it to be cheaper? Yes. Do we need these tools? Yes and it's good that it happened."
