The Air Force announced this morning the decision to ground a pilot who last night exceeded permitted flight velocity limits in fighter jet training activity. This, after residents in the Haifa area and Jezreel Valley reported the loud report of a supersonic boom.
The IDF said: "after investigation it was found that the noise heard last night in the Haifa city area and Jezreel Valley Regional Council was due to a pilot's exceeding flight speed limits during fighter jet training activities in the area. The pilot is grounded."
