A senior American official has told Israeli officials that the presentation of President Donald Trump's diplomatic plan is being delayed because of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, according to Yediot Ahronot.
The official said, "We expected him to calm down but he has not calmed down," following United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the relocation of the embassy there, among other moves. He said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu "will have to be courageous and demonstrate leadership and make decisions." According to the source, "Israel will not be required to make concessions in the security field"
