Based on a recommendation from the Department for Investigating Police, prosecutors are considering filing an indictment against a police officer suspected of breaking the leg of Arab activist Jaffar Farah during a demonstration this spring in Haifa in response to the deaths of Gaza rioters at the hands of the Israel Defense Forces.
The officer is entitled to a hearing before the filing of an indictment. Possible charges include attacking detainees, making threats and causing injury.
