Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has instructed the director-general of his office to meet Druze and Circassian council heads and the directors-general of relevant government ministries and to present practical measures to remove barriers to the implementation of Government Resolution 959, which deals with "a plan for the development and empowerment of the Druze and Circassian communities for the years 2016-19", with an emphasis on housing and employment.
The instructions were given during a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Druze and Circassians among the minority populations in the Security Forces. This is the second time that the committee has met since it was formed, last week, following a Druze protest over the recently-passed Nationality Law.
