State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan has ruled that the Arab woman who was shot at the Afula central bus station was not a terrorist and was not trying to carry out a terror attack but rather to commit suicide.
The woman, Asra'a Zidan, approached security forces while holding a knife about three weeks ago before being shot and killed.
According to officials, videos of the incident show that she had the opportunity to stab a Haredi man standing next to her but chose not to do so. Instead she merely held the knife and screamed.
Zidan had attempted suicide several times beforehand and had even been hospitalized following one attempt.
