Homes around the country have received a small flyer with this message: "Time to enlist to save the country and protect our homes." The pamphlet explains a new project known as "Moving Rightward," in which volunteers make visits and calls to voters, urging them to vote "one party to the right" of what they planned. For instance, if they are considering Kadima, the volunteers sing them the praises of Likud, and if they were planning to vote Likud, they are treated to a glowing presentation on the National Union/NRP. If they have a tendency towards other religious/right-wing parties, the volunteers encourage them in that direction as well.

The campaign's objective is to form a right-wing/religious bloc of 60 MKs that will prevent a left-wing Kadima-led government from being formed. Current polls show that the objective is a difficult one, but attainable.

The pamphlet is written in a question-and-answer format. Excerpts:

Is there anything we can do?

"The situation as reflected in the polls does not look good, to put it mildly. The nationalist camp is getting stronger, but against it stands a strong and threatening "Kadima." ... If Kadima, with nearly 40 Knesset seats, joins up with the left and the Arabs, this could mean the destruction of the settlement enterprise, erosion of the State's Jewish identity, a mortal blow to education and the Torah world, and above all, seemingly unmitigated proof that the People of Israel are tired and have given in to despair. However, the battle is far from over, and the nationalist camp has proven that it can change trends. ... If all of us, young and old, men, women and children, each one according to his ability and inclinations, enlist in the effort, we can conquer the country. We can detour the polls and the media's lies, reach the masses directly, speak the truth without intermediaries, and with G-d's help we will succeed in having an influence."

An influence in what direction?

"We must first of all crumble Kadima, this hollow party that is based on deception... Secondly, we must strengthen the right-wing parties, including the NU/NRP, so that we will be able to establish a proud religious-national coalition after the elections."

A 'proud' coalition includes the Likud?

"It must be clear that the weaker the Likud is, the danger from Kadima increases... A Kadima with 40 mandates signifies public legitimacy for the Disengagement/expulsion and the way in which it was carried it out, and provides a push to continue in this direction... Our main claim last summer was, correctly, that the majority was not in favor of the destruction of Gush Katif and northern Shomron; but if Kadima wins big, this claim is neutralized... We must strive for a right-wing coalition, held in check by the NU/NRP and strong enough to withstand the winds of the left and of post-Zionism..."

So what should we do?

"We move rightward, with the Face-to-Face campaign! It is estimated that there are some 10 mandates worth of 'soft-right' voters who are wavering between Kadima and the right-wing. This is some 150,000 families, which we must reach and bring back home."

How do we identify them?

"By phone calls and then visits to some 2,000 districts in which, in the previous election, there was a high percentage of Likud voters..."

OK, so what's the first step?

"Join up with your local chapter. [The phone numbers are included.] You will receive a list of names and phone numbers. Simply dial and begin an informal conversation in the way you feel is best. The organizers can provide you with tips, if you'd like... Flow along, and you'll improve with each conversation. But it's important to keep the objective in mind: identifying those who are undecided and who might be able to be convinced in a face-to-face visit. After each call, fill in the feedback form and return it to the chapter office. Volunteers will then make house visits..."

The flyer concludes:

The coming elections are a referendum about the Jewish character of Israel and our continued hold on Judea and Samaria. Uniting our forces, bypassing the media, reaching the voters, stopping Kadima and strengthening the nationalist camp - we did it before and with G-d's help we will succeed again! Everyone has a role: one million phone calls to find and persuade Kadima voters, 300,000 house calls, dozens of chapters of volunteers around the country - and "conquest" of the streets and intersections with signs, flyers and booths.

The "Moving Rightward" organization also welcomes volunteers from abroad who are interested in making phone calls. Such volunteers can apply for a list of voters to call by sending a fax to (+972)3-760-0679. Specify your language (Hebrew/English/Russian), as well as your email address.
