Two Border Guard policemen were murdered and a third was lightly wounded shortly after midnight north of Kibbutz Bachan, inside pre-1967 Israel, not far from PA-controlled Tul Karem. Andrei Zelodkin, 26, of Karmiel in the north, will be buried this evening. His funeral will be the third for terrorist victims today. Earlier, Yigal Goldstein, who was murdered in the Nahariya suicide blast, was buried in Kibbutz Nachshon, and Border Guard policeman Tzachi David, 19, of Jerusalem, who was murdered together with Zelodkin, was buried at Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery.

Following a drive-by shooting on a nearby road five days ago, Israeli motorists have basically stopped using the road, which passes between two Israeli-Arab villages. For this reason, police theorize that the terrorists did not shoot randomly this time, for fear that it would hit Arabs, and instead shot into the Border Guard base. The army\'s investigation shows that the policemen fired back, but were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
