A truck passing by the Israeli-Arab village of Ein Ibrahim, near the city of Um el-Fahm, on one of Israel\'s major arteries was stoned this afternoon. The truck\'s windshield was smashed. Another truck was hit by rocks at the same location yesterday. The highway, central Israel\'s primary connecting route with Afula, Tiberias, and the Golan, was the site of serious violence last October and was closed at that time for the better part of a few days.
This was not the only incident of violence near Um el-Fahm today. A bomb exploded not far away from there, but caused no damage. Border Guard policemen noticed the explosive and alerted bomb sappers; it exploded before the latter could arrive. It is assumed that the bomb was \"in transit\" from the autonomous areas to pre-1967 Israel.
Bedouin, too, are guilty of anti-Israel activities, and yet another incident of such was registered last night. Two members of this group were arrested after they placed an obstacle of rocks along the Shoket-Lehavim highway and then stoned the cars that arrived.
