Three teachers were wounded, two in light condition that were transported to HaEmek Hospital in Afula. The third victim was flown by military helicopter to the trauma unit of Jerusalem\'s Hadassah Hospital where she is being moved to a surgical recovery unit. She sustained moderate shrapnel injuries to her neck and back. The Islamic Jihad terror organization claimed responsibility for the attack.

At about 10:45am, a suicide bomber detonated a large explosive device in proximity to the Nahariya train station killing three and wounding 71. All of the wounded, including 20 soldiers, were transported to the Nahariya Hospital where eight victims are reported in moderate condition and the remainder in light and very light condition. At least ten victims have already been discharged from the hospital. The Hamas terror organization claimed responsibility for the blast.
Early in the afternoon, a suicide terrorist bomber detonated a car bomb at Beit Lid Junction near the coastal city of Netanya. Police report it was most fortunate that a significant portion of the bomb including two mortar shells failed to detonate. Nevertheless, a bus [that did not have passengers on board] and several cars went up in flames as a result of the blast. A total of 12 persons were injured, one moderately and the remainder lightly. The wounded were transported to Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba and Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera. A Hizbullah TV broadcast in Lebanon reported the bomber was a Hamas terrorist form the Izzadin el-Kassim faction, a resident of southern Lebanon.
The cabinet will be convening on Sunday at which time the government ministers will be briefed on the security crisis.
