Labor Elections Still in Doubt

An internal Labor Party committee will begin investigating complaints by the Binyamin Ben-Eliezer camp against the unofficial results of this past Tuesday\'s election. As of now, Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg leads Ben-Eliezer by 1,088 votes, just over 1%.

An internal Labor Party committee will begin investigating complaints by the Binyamin Ben-Eliezer camp against the unofficial results of this past Tuesday\'s election. As of now, Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg leads Ben-Eliezer by 1,088 votes, just over 1%. The latter\'s lawyers maintain that the Druze sector results were contrived, and they demand a revote in those polling stations. Burg\'s camp demands that the official results be announced today.
