Palestinian attacks this afternoon included shots at an army vehicle south of Bethlehem, and at a bus near Shavei Shomron. No one was hurt.
Two Jews were lightly wounded in two separate terrorist shooting attacks last night. Ron Shechner, who until recently was security officer for the Judea and Samaria Communities (Yesha) Council, was hit by shrapnel in the chest south of Hevron, and was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be\'er Sheva for treatment. In another attack, west of Jerusalem on the way to Nataf, a driver was lightly hurt when four bullets hit his car. This was one of the first attacks in this region - situated on the pre-1967 side of the Green Line, near Maaleh HaHamishah - since before the Six Day War. Police later found bullet casings that helped trace the would-be murderers\' tracks to the Arab village of Katona.
Another murder was attempted this morning, along the southern Shechem bypass road; a Jewish taxi driver was shot at, but was unhurt... Arabs in Gaza threw 37 grenades at soldiers in southern Gaza near the Rafiach Crossing to Egypt last night; there were no injuries...
