National Infrastructures Minister Avigdor Lieberman has decided to connect three Jewish points in eastern Jerusalem to the Israeli Electric Company. The three are Yeshivat Beit Orot, the City of David neighborhood below the Temple Mount, and the Ma\'aleh Zeitim (Ras al-Amoud) neighborhood. A similar decision was made by Ariel Sharon when he served as Infrastructures Minister under Prime Minister Netanyahu, but Lieberman hopes to actually implement the decision. The Jewish Quarter in the Old City has long been connected to the Israeli Electric Company, but not the Jewish homes in the Moslem Quarter.
