While the Jewish communities of Gush Katif have been destroyed, and the Jews banished, the holy synagogues of Gush Katif will not be demolished by the Israeli army. These structures, bereft of their holy books and the voices of prayer and study that once filled them, will stand as silent reminders of the beautiful communities that once thrived in the dunes of Gush Katif.
