Rabbi Rachamim Nisimi was arrested almost three months ago while taking part in an anti-expulsion protest at the Shilat Junction near Hashmonaim. The head of the Shaalei Torah educational network, Rabbi Nisimi was accused of actually blocking the highway. The rabbi, however, supported by eyewitnesses, said he did nothing more than give out ribbons, but that a policeman with whom he had an argument decided to frame him.

The Channel Ten news film clip, publicized following a court order, shows that the rabbi's version is the correct one, and that he is sitting in prison for nothing.

A friend of Rabbi Nisimi, Moshe Govalsky, said that an appeal has been submitted in court based on the film. The film itself will be screened publicly at a press conference in the near future.

Rabbi Nisimi is scheduled to be released within the coming days. His students and members of the Shaalei Torah core groups around the country will greet him at Maasiyahu Prison.
