This afternoon\'s Palestinian violence included: Heavy gunfire in Hevron; Jewish civilians returned fire towards Abu Sneineh, while the IDF responded with anti-tank rocket fire... Two firebombs in Pisgat Ze\'ev… Arabs attempted to ambush and murder an Israeli motorist on the Jericho-bypass highway; bullets hit his car, but no one was hurt…



A bomb was discovered south of Hevron, dismantled safely by sappers... Arabs near Hizme, outside Pisgat Ze\'ev in Jerusalem, threw rocks at cars... Soldiers came under gunfire at an IDF checkpoint in Har Homa and at Rachel\'s Tomb in PA-controlled Bethlehem... Israeli soldiers also came under gun and grenade attack throughout Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Attacks included shootings on the Trans-Yehuda Highway, near Yad Ya\'ir west of Ramallah, and near the community of N\'vei Dekalim in the south... Grenades were thrown at the Tarmit Outpost near the Egyptian border; IDF forces returned fire...



Last night, a civilian guarding the community of Hashmonaim, near Modi’in, was wounded in the abdomen by drive-by shooters; he is listed in moderate-to-serious condition. Another Israeli motorist narrowly missed being hit by bullets near Halamish (N\'vei Tzuf), northwest of Ramallah. Other attacks included gunfire at a bus stop in Gush Etzion, Jewish homes in Hevron, an outpost near Kalkilyeh, a base in Bethlehem, and firebombs at Jewish cars on the way to Hevron. An Arab-fired mortar shell landed north of the Gaza Strip, damaging a factory. A short burst of gunfire towards Beit El hit a transformer, causing a blackout in parts of the town.
