A crisis in the public health system has been averted, for now. Representatives of the Finance and Health Ministries signed an agreement last night, according to which the former will transfer 100 million shekels ($23.6 million) to the latter for payment for medicines. The medicine companies said that they were owed 290 million shekels, but will suffice with an immediate 100 million in order not to stop medicine deliveries.
