Outgoing Finance Minister Netanyahu's trip was planned well in advance of his resignation, according to aides, and will include addressing an Israel Bonds event.
At the press conference following his resignation, Netanyahu told reporters that he does not intend to fight to thwart the implementation of the Disengagement Plan, but wanted to be recorded in history as having objected to it.
The Yesha Council expressed disappointment at Netanyahu's decision to refrain from actively joining the protest movement. "When Netanyahu resigned, it seemed from his words that he was serious, but now it appears that he was just speaking theoretically," Council Chairman Bentzy Lieberman told Arutz-7. "As far as we are concerned, his resignation was just an empty gesture."
Although Netanyahu has so far refrained from joining the public struggle against next week's scheduled expulsion of Jews from Gaza, he is making his views known the same way many private citizens have been. A large banner was spotted hanging on the former Prime Minister's home Monday, reading, "Sharon is tearing apart the nation - Let the nation decide." A photographer snapped a photo of the banner.

According to the photographer, it is not possible that an anti-Disengagement activist was responsible for the banner. The photographer claims security surrounding Netanyahu's house on Jerusalem's Gaza street is extremely tight and the banner was hanging on the actual building, located behind a high wall.
Witnesses also report that the ex-Finance Minister's wife Sara has begun flying an orange anti-expulsion ribbon on her car.
