For the second Monday in a row, many dozens of women are standing outside the President\'s Residence in Jerusalem, demanding that Mr. Katzav pardon Margalit Har-Shefi. They maintain that her conviction of knowing in advance of Yigal Amir\'s intention to murder Yitzchak Rabin and of not stopping him is a perversion of justice.
The women say that Har-Shefi\'s own claim that she did not know of Amir\'s plans must be given as much weight as the judges\' feeling that she did know. They further note that the General Security Service head at the time, Carmi Gillon, himself said that he and others could not conceive of a Jew getting up and killing the Prime Minister.
The campaign for a Presidential pardon for Margalit Har-Shefi asks that faxes be sent to the President (02-5611033) and to Justice Minister Meir Shetreet (02-628-5438).
