Two Israelis were lightly wounded in a terrorist shooting early this afternoon between Sa Nur and Mevo Dotan, in northern Shomron. Last night, Jewish homes in the ancient city of Hevron and nearby Kiryat Arba came under intense terrorist gunfire. The IDF directed return fire, including tank shells, at PLO positions on the hills of Givat Shalhevet (Abu Sneineh) and Harat A-Sheikh in Hevron.
Other attempted murders of Israelis today included:
* terrorist fire at homes in Beit Haggai, in the Southern Hevron Hills, damaging several homes;
* a shooting at a motorist on the Jerusalem-Modi\'in road - he was uninjured, but bullets damaged the vehicle;
* in Gaza, the industrial zone of N\'vei Dekalim on the southern Mediterranean coast and the Erez checkpoint were fired upon;
* north of Gaza, mortar rockets landed near Kibbutz Be\'eri.
* a bomb went off near Jenin.
IDF soldiers came under attack west of Hevron, at the Tarkumiya Checkpoint east of Kiryat Gat, near Kiryat Sefer, near Har Bracha, and in the area of Aram Junction, north of Jerusalem. In addition, 30 grenades were fired at IDF soldiers near Gadid and the Tarmit Outpost near the Rafiach Crossing to Egypt. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.
