The agreement will bring Arutz-7’s daily and weekly independent news broadcasts from the Middle East directly to viewers throughout North America, allowing them to bypass media bias and receive the facts directly from one of Israel’s most trusted news sources.

Shalom TV's arrangement with Arutz-7’s IsraelNationalTV.com for news coverage includes daily news reports, original interviews, and the feature magazine Israeli Salad, with Yoni Kempinski. The feature-based magazine-style program includes visits to museums in the country, interviews of popular and legendary musicians, regional events such as a Passover seder meal competition between hotels, a look at Israeli military equipment, and an occasional cooking demonstration.

"News is a significant and important category for Jewish cable subscribers, and it's imperative that a network devoted to Jewish issues and culture provide unfiltered access to information from Israel," Bradford Hammer of Shalom TV explained. "Our arrangement with Israel National News gives viewers a fresh perspective on events in that region while offering video context for developing stories in the Middle East."

Among the other programs produced by IsraelNationalTV.com are "Sights & Sounds" travel pieces, historical segments entitled "Footsteps Through Time," and long-format network interviews of business leaders and policy-makers. "We are delighted that our working agreement with INN encompasses the popular 'Israeli Salad' series which has a devoted following among the next generation of Jewish leaders," noted Mr. Hammer. "Yoni's program, along with other INN features and news-oriented shows, made for a welcome partnership."

"It's important that our news and information programming find an audience outside of Israel," Arutz-7's Moshe Maeir said. "Television is such an important part of the American experience, and we look forward to using this medium for Israeli political and cultural news."

Shalom TV already offers viewers educational, and entertaining English-language telecasts touching upon issues of interest to the Jewish community. Designed for North American cable subscribers, the channel covers Jewish-oriented public affairs events such as lectures, forums, and observances, along with televising long-format tours of synagogues and interviews of prominent Jewish figures. These offerings build upon a platform of films, specials, newsreels, instructional readings, and series dealing with Jewish life, history, and tradition.
