A small bomb exploded near a car in downtown Jerusalem this afternoon; there were no fatalities, and one woman was treated for shock. However, police sappers called to the scene of the explosion discovered a much larger bomb - ten kilograms or more - inside the vehicle, which, had it gone off, would very likely have caused serious damage to life and property. So said Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy, noting that it was likely that the terrorists\' intention was to kill the policemen who came to deal with the first bomb. The owner of the car, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, has been arrested and is being questioned.
