The plan is for many thousands of drivers across the country to stop their cars at precisely 6 PM on the side of whatever road they happen to be driving on. The drivers and their passengers will then get out of their cars, wave Israeli flags and orange ribbons, and will unfurl signs against abandoning parts of the Land of Israel to the enemy.
Many cars will drive in convoys to specific pre-assigned locations. The goal is not to interfere with traffic.
Arrangements are already underway to "assign" certain highway sections to various population groups. Beit El residents, for instance, will man the area near the Shapirim Interchange on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway.
Inspectors responsible for safety in the various areas will also be appointed by the Yesha Council, which has represented the Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza for some 30 years.
"Everyone must be made to know," the Yesha Council states, "that on the day that Gush Katif and northern Shomron is closed off, Heaven forbid, tens of thousands of people will set out along these very roads to help our brave brothers."
