Half of the arrested terrorists were from the Hevron area, and the others were from the Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jenin and Kalkliye regions. The IDF emphasized that it had apprehended even terrorists who are not considered "ticking time bombs."

Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra told the Knesset yesterday that it is his personal opinion that Islamic Jihad is set to "lose big" in the upcoming PA elections, and that this terror wave is its "death throes."
Seven mortar shells were fired at Israeli civilian targets in Gaza last night, including five in Gush Katif. Another shell was fired this morning at southern Gush Katif. Terrorists opened fire at an IDF outpost and an IDF force near Rafiach Yam, and in another incident at an IDF outpost near N'vei Dekalim. Contrary to IDF reports of no damage or casualties in these incidents, one of the mortar shells damaged six parked cars and three houses in Kfar Darom.
