Israel National Radio's Yishai Fleisher, who had prepared to ascend the Temple Mount in accordance with Jewish law, was informed that due to Arab stone-throwers, Judaism's holiest site was closed to Jews.
He was later taken up as a news correspondent by the police spokesperson.

Arabs hold a large demonstration on the Temple Mount, replete with large speakers and Islamic flags, indicating the police knew the political event would take place on Jerusalem Day - and allowed it to.

Many anti-expulsion activists, who oppose the plan to uproot the 25 Jewish towns in Gush Katif and the Shomron, marched with the Zionist Organization of America in the parade.
